Impotence remedies for physiological impotence also include surgical insertion of penile implants. These penile prosthesis are implanted surgically in to the penis and this acts like natural penile pumps and brings about erection. The disadvantage is that the penile prosthesis permanently damages the erectile tissue.
There are also other non-invasive impotence remedies available. This includes injection of testosterone or the drug Alprostadil directly in to the penis. However this method is painful and also brings about painful erections for hours.
Among the available impotence remedies the most widely followed is usage of oral drugs containing drugs such viagara. These drugs contain Alprostadil that acts on the arteries supplying the penis and brings about its dilation. This result in increased blood flow to penis and thus facilitates erection. However these drugs bring about wide range of side effects from headache to heart attack. So such remedies should be used with caution depending up on the individual’s medical condition, under medical supervision.
Impotence treatments invented in recent times include erection creams. Erection creams contain the same drugs as that of viagara, but is lot safer as it does not produce harmful life threatening side effects. Erection creams could be used by all impotent individuals irrespective of their physiological condition without precaution and it shows effect within few minutes following application.
Home based remedies are also gaining popularity and are widely practiced as they are economical and hassle free. Herbal medications are also used as impotence remedy in treating erectile dysfunction.
